Welcome to the Friends of Waxhaw Parks & Trails Organization

The Friends of Waxhaw Parks & Trails is organized for the purpose of providing financial support and resources to the Town of Waxhaw Parks and Recreation Department for their vision of providing professional park facilities, recreational opportunties, and quality of life initiatives that unmistakenbly reflect the unique character of Waxhaw. We will work to educate the community about Waxhaw’s park and trail needs and promotoe opportunities for community involvement through volunteerism. We believe in a strong core set of values to guide the Friends of Waxhaw Parks & Trails.

• Education – Promoting outdoor learning, environmental awareness, cultural enrichment,

innovation, and field experiences.

• Volunteerism – Empowering individuals to give back and lead community efforts.

• Stewardship – Supporting sustainability, open spaces, and Waxhaw’s natural, historic,

and cultural legacy.

• Support – Raising funds and resources for programs, events, and amenities that celebrate

and serve all.
